The principles of data protection at Maico Elektroapparate-Fabrik GmbH


1. Handling personal data

 

The website link www.maico.de is a product of Maico Elektroapparate-Fabrik GmbH (hereinafter referred to as MAICO). MAICO uses its website to inform customers and interested parties of fan and ventilation engineering products. We attach great importance to protecting your personal data as we collect, process and use it during your visit to the MAICO web pages. We only collect, process and use your details as specified by law, as prescribed for example in the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) or German Telemedia Act (TMG). The MAICO web pages are in line with the regulations as laid down in data protection law. 2. Data processing when web pages are visited

 

MAICO is constantly working on improving and updating the information provided on its web pages for customers and interested parties in order to raise the appeal of its website. This data is not assigned to any natural person and is only used by MAICO for internal and statistical purposes. The following data is stored when web pages are simply requested:
names and identifiers of files which the user in question has requested from the MAICO web pages, the date and time when each web page was requested, the volume of data transferred, the amount of time spent on the MAICO web pages, status queries regarding the successful request for files and the type of web browser used.


3. Data processing when subscribing to newsletters, submitting requests for quotations, other enquiries

 

If you have provided your e-mail address and other contact details, for example when subscribing to MAICO newsletters or submitting a request for quotation, MAICO will send you the corresponding information. The data you provide is stored in a file or in an e-mail program and only used to provide the information requested. You can withdraw your consent to subscribe for newsletters at any time with effect for the future by entering your e-mail address in the box provided on the website link http://www.maico.de/index.php?id=23842 for cancelling newsletter subscriptions. With regard to the deletion of details and the withdrawal of consent, we would also advise you to refer to Clause 6. of this declaration.


4. Cookies

 

When you visit MAICO web pages, information is occasionally stored on your computer in the form of cookies (small text files). These are used to allow us to design the information provided on the MAICO web pages in a user-friendly, flexible and effective way for you the user. MAICO does not use cookies to save passwords. 6. Right to information, cancellation and deletion

 

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time to the use of your personal data with effect for the future. Your personal data is deleted when you withdraw your consent for MAICO to store it, if it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was originally stored or if there are other legal reasons for which it may not be stored. In response to a written request, MAICO will gladly provide you with the data that has been stored for you (e.g. name, postal address, phone number, date of birth). 7. Security instructions

MAICO strives to take all the necessary technical and organisational security measures to store your personal data such that it is not accessible to either third parties or the general public.
